Description
Jet Courier were Patrick Loubet, former member of band Corps Diplomatique, and Kino Frontera aka Jean-Louis Durand, musician, singer, writer, and photograph.
Also participating were Marie Eve Bensussan, the charismatic female singer of Corps Diplomatique and Virginie Barrelet, bringing her angelic backing vocals.
We also had Beverley Jane Crew from Martin Dupont playing saxophone on one song.
All tracks recorded in Marseille (France), from 1988 to 1990, on a Tascam 244 4-tracks cassette recorder, restored and remastered by Patrick Loubet in 2025.
The song ‘Mort sur le Nil’ was made with Martin Dupont’s keyboards and drum machines, the project started with a minimalistic gear.
‘Brummel Square’ was made with a single Yamaha DX-100. It was soon joined by an improbable Yamaha DX-5, won via a contest, an Orla DSE-24 and a Roland MT-32. Drum machines were Roland TR-707 and Kawai R-50,
Big Up for Steven Guillot, who found and gathered us 35 years later, and initiated this project.
Thanks : Jacky Mazin, Martin Dupont, Catherine Loy and Alexandre Louis from Infrastition label.
We hope you’ll enjoy this trip into the past as much as we did.
